Audere investigated the activities of a local agricultural firm in Ethiopia on behalf of an institutional investor in a private equity fund, which had been made aware of human rights abuses via unsubstantiated media reports.

Investigators examined calls of mistreatment of workers and environmental abuses, interviewing local workers, government officials, labour unions, commercial parties, journalists, and NGOs.

Audere was commissioned to monitor the activities of the agricultural firm alongside developments in a volatile local political context, marked by longstanding disputes between residents and the regional government.
