What next for Iran under the Trump Presidency?
Audere Group had the pleasure of hosting a topical dinner on Wednesday 25th June, focused on the political and economic future of Iran. The speakers, Professor Ali M. Ansari1 and Nicholas Hopton2, addressed the developing geopolitical trends in the region with skill befitting such experienced and knowledgeable experts on the topic.
Audere’s speakers, staff, and guests debated the role of proxies in the conflict; the significance of the relatively stable oil price; and the attitudes of the Iranian diaspora, which seem divergent to the feelings of the current population of Iran. This stimulating discussion, moderated by the Chairman of Audere group, Sir Malcom Rifkind3, was informed by the experiences and insight of the speakers and attendees, who were reminded that the digital environment in Iran remains a highly complex space, complicated by unstable and irregular internet access. As information continues to flow out of the region, placing your trust in reliable sources is imperative.
Charles Blackmore, CEO of Audere Group, used this opportunity to highlight the company’s branch in Damascus, Syria. Audere Levant, provides on-the-ground security and commercial intelligence services with the aim of facilitating foreign direct investment by mitigating the financial, reputational, and physical security risks facing foreign investors. This is an initiative by Audere Group to maintain its edge over competitors by staying on the cusp of geopolitical developments.
